Illustrator and storyboard artist Chris Grosz is good at telling tales. Also a graphic designer, painter, cartoonist, caricaturist and past creative director, Grosz’ work has illustrated and parodied people, places and commercial ideas since the 1960’s. His illustration talent has seen him crack tour posters for the likes of Frank Zappa, Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello, U2, Tom Waits and Ry Cooder. Self-dubbed as ‘Old School New School’, Grosz combines his old techniques of hand lettering, mono and lino prints, scraperboard, gauche and watercolour with new school Photoshop.
Grosz works with genuine affection and intent of an idea. His experienced drawing style enjoys finding the medium between visceral and soft, to hard and acidic in his boards.
