Benjamin grew up on an avocado farm on the North Coast of NSW, Australia and developed his love of drawing from an early age. He completed his degree in animation at Queensland College of Art, where his focus was on traditional hand drawn animation drawing on lightboxes one frame at a time. It was during this period he discovered his passion for the illustrative side of animation. Now residing in Auckland, New Zealand, he finds inspiration in different cultures and his love of the ocean, much of which shapes and refines the work he produces today.
With the human condition his favourite muse, Benjamin is skilled in communicating a vast range of subject matter and ideas through his understanding and use of composition, typography, humour and colour.
