Jonas Claesson

Originally from Stockholm, Jonas moved to Australia’s Gold Coast to combine his industrial design studies with art, sunshine and surf. This eventually led him to work for Billabong, where he worked as a product designer. Now an Instagram phenomenon, Jonas draws from a myriad of influences including camping, surfing, his favourite tv series and Swedish and Australian culture. With a penchant for simple clean lines, he creates images with a playful naivety. He especially loves drawing animals having fun.

Jonas’ traditional hand-drawn illustrations are often digitally coloured, resulting in a bold and expressive style. He is renowned for his brush skills, creativity and speed with clients such as Australia Post, Caltex, AHM Insurance and ABC Homes.
