Hailing from New Zealand, Emile is an award-winning illustrator and animator who built an impressive advertising and editorial reputation while in London. It was during this period that his clean lines and bold graphics became the cornerstone of his signature style. With a background in graphic design, Emile has the ability to take the innocence of retro styles and update them with wit and a designers eye for composition. He draws inspiration from his childhood favourites such as The Simpsons, LEGO and more recently retro Japanese manga and anime.

Emile’s clientele span various industries such as advertising, editorial, packaging and publishing, including Apple, Bank of America, Red Bull, The Economist and Wired Magazine.
