Kell Sunshine

Self-taught and deeply connected to her coastal roots, Kell Sunshine is a muralist, lettering artist and illustrator whose bold curvaceous forms and retro-fresh colour palettes bring her ecological storytelling to life.

Based in Tairāwhiti after 13 years in Wellington, her work is infused with a deep reverence for the natural world, often featuring themes of environmental connection.

Kell’s artistic journey has taken her across the globe, painting murals from Mexico to Greece and beyond. With a portfolio spanning tarot cards, album covers, beer labels and large-scale public art, she thrives on collaboration and the challenge of transforming spaces.

Whether painting in the streets of Crete or on a skateboard deck, Kell’s work is an invitation to reconnect, with nature, creativity, and the world around us.
