Nic Staveley

Nic is a graduate of the New Zealand Film School. While living across Belgium, Switzerland and the UK he discovered his love for portrait photography. A passionate photographer, he is inspired by the execution of strong concepts, stylised portraits and the emotions they evoke. Nic often manipulates natural light and colour bringing a beautiful cinematic personality to his work. Drawing on his technical skills, he finds a midway between capturing a mood and evoking a sense of narrative which either encompasses or documents his subject matter.

Nic has the ability to work with real people from shepherds to CEO’s, as well as professional talent. His innate lighting ability, coupled with his eye for composition and distinct retouching skills produces highly polished work which captures the essence of a person, place or brand.
