Victoria Garcia

Based in Sydney, Victoria Garcia is one of Australia’s leading pattern and textile designers. Her work is commissioned by design studios such as Longina Phillips and fashion designers such as Karen Walker, Sass and Bide, Lisa Ho and Peter Alexander. She is fascinated by natural history, the things she collects and aesthetic movements such as surrealism and psychedelia.

Victoria’s hand-drawn graphic based illustrations are executed with immaculate precision and detail, cleverly manipulating individual elements to work in unison. Her work reflects a sophisticated eye for colour, composition and repetition with award winning prowess. Well known for her interactive installations she has also produced large-scale public artworks for Wollongong Central and Ambush Gallery, Westfield, Broadway Shopping Centre and Oxford Art Factory.
