Illustrator Peter Bainbridge joins the IR roster

Peter started his multidisciplinary career as a fashion illustrator and photographer before becoming a commercial illustrator and silk screen artist. His straightforward approach typically pays homage to the simple things in life, often referencing Australian icons and the idea of the ‘underdog’. His colourful characters and their pared-back nature melds poster aesthetics with a minimalist edge that celebrate his less is more sensibility.

Peter’s influences range from Aboriginal and New Guinean art to Toulouse-Lautrec, Andy Warhol, Saul Bass and Japanese manga. All executed with a healthy dose of abstract expressionism and humour.
