Introducing our new storyteller, photographer Zico O’Neill

Born in Masterton and raised in Tauranga, Zico holds a Bachelor of Design majoring in photography with first class honours. He spent 5 years assisting in Sydney, London and Amsterdam before returning home to focus on his commercial career. His photography transports the viewer into an understated world, combining portraiture with nostalgic landscapes. The results provide a calm familiar aesthetic for the viewer and a peaceful representation of his subjects.

Illustrator Peter Bainbridge joins the IR roster

Peter started his multidisciplinary career as a fashion illustrator and photographer before becoming a commercial illustrator and silk screen artist. His straightforward approach typically pays homage to the simple things in life, often referencing Australian icons and the idea of the ‘underdog’. His colourful characters and their pared-back nature melds poster aesthetics with a minimalist edge that celebrate his less is more sensibility.

Janine Wareham brightens up our hoods for Z Energy

Z Energy and Auckland agency Shine help bring local New Zealand hoods to life with murals by Janine Wareham. Janine travelled to three suburbs throughout country, Auckland’s Henderson, Wellington’s Newtown and Christchurch’s Moorhouse. Each unique mural was designed to brighten up existing outdoor spaces, providing benefits to the community long after the initial campaign is finished.

The music we love is made up of many influences, including where we live. Tastes and styles shift within communities, cultures and subcultures. In it’s latest campaign, Smirnoff Pure and YoungShand tapped into the unique vibes of New Zealand and set out to help Kiwis discover the music that moves the places we call home. Street artist Component helped kickstart it with a ‘Sounds Like’ inspired mural on the streets of Ponsonby.
