Z Energy and Auckland agency Shine help bring local New Zealand hoods to life with murals by Janine Wareham. Janine travelled to three suburbs throughout country, Auckland’s Henderson, Wellington’s Newtown and Christchurch’s Moorhouse. Each unique mural was designed to brighten up existing outdoor spaces, providing benefits to the community long after the initial campaign is finished.

In it’s latest campaign, Smirnoff Pure and YoungShand tapped into the unique vibes of New Zealand and set out to help Kiwis discover the music that moves the places we call home. Street artist Component helped kickstart it with a ‘Sounds Like’ inspired mural on the streets of Ponsonby.

Among the women who blazed a trail for others to follow are Merata Mita, Neroli Fairhill, Lorde and Kate Edger. One of New Zealand’s best-known illustrators Rebecca ter Borg created gorgeous portraits to accompany their stories.
