Two IR illustrator finalists in the NZ Book Awards

We’re proud to announce that both illustrators Toby Morris and Kieran Rynhart are finalists in the NZ Book Awards for Children. ‘The Day the Costumes Stuck’ is written and illustrated by Toby and is a brilliantly funny account of a boy who finds that his friend’s costumes are stuck after a costume party. Kieran’s lush earthy illustrations bring to life ‘If I was a Banana’, a story about figuring out who you are.

Influenced by the sublime velvet paintings of Edgar Leeteg and in particular his student Charles McPhee, photographer Rakai Karaitiana, Component and iThink collaborated together on production.
