The booming business of craft beer owes as much to the eclectic beer labels as the nectar within. Surf, sand and Scottish heritage form an integral part of the McLeod’s Brewery brand, so with renowned watercolourist Sarah Larnach (also of Scottish heritage) it was a perfect match.

Work Communications was recently tasked with the launch of new pie characters for Tuckers Ridge. Illustrator James Stewart skillfully brought each of the personalities to life with his detailed line work.

Heading into the highlands and islands of Papua New Guinea was a dream shoot for photographer Nic Staveley. On assignment for a new development in Port Moresby, producer Stacey Simpkin and assistant Jeremy Gould made up the rest of the team. Welcomed into villages, exploring rivers, traversing lakes, travelling bumpy roads and shooting from helicopters led to a beautiful collection of stills and video content. The final artworks as due to be released later this year.

Colenso BBDO commissioned still-life photographer Lewis Mulatero to shoot their recent promotional campaign for New Zealand brand Mainland Cheese. 2000-piece jigsaw puzzles were created from Lewis’s stunning close-ups of Brie, Tasty and Blue, underscoring the brand’s tagline ‘Good Things Take Time’.

We’re proud to announce that both illustrators Toby Morris and Kieran Rynhart are finalists in the NZ Book Awards for Children. ‘The Day the Costumes Stuck’ is written and illustrated by Toby and is a brilliantly funny account of a boy who finds that his friend’s costumes are stuck after a costume party. Kieran’s lush earthy illustrations bring to life ‘If I was a Banana’, a story about figuring out who you are.

303 MullinLowe and illustrator Lisa Nicole Moes were the forces behind Transperth’s latest poster series. Lisa’s distinct illustrations hark back to the travel posters of the fifties, the perfect medium to showcase the numerous benefits that cycling brings.

Illustrator Jeremy Kyle, well known for his beautiful watercolours, was recently commissioned by agency justONE to showcase the new GIB COVE range. Special Group Auckland teamed up with illustrator Janine Wareham to bring Eco Store’s new kids range to life. Well known for her fun hand-drawn typography, Janine created the packaging for six new products for the range.

Advertising agency True are behind Air New Zealand’s new ‘Become an Air New Zealander‘ campaign. Shooting industry staff in situ is one of Nic‘s specialties and the images encompass the various roles within the organisation such as cabin crew, operations, cargo, corporate, digital, engineering and pilots.
