An epic three week assignment in Papua New Guinea was a dream commission for photographer/director Nic Staveley. With a small support crew, he travelled through the highlands, lowlands and remote islands resulting in a stunning body of imagery for the client. Star Mountain Plaza is a new world class precinct in Port Moresby.

Heading into the highlands and islands of Papua New Guinea was a dream shoot for photographer Nic Staveley. On assignment for a new development in Port Moresby, producer Stacey Simpkin and assistant Jeremy Gould made up the rest of the team. Welcomed into villages, exploring rivers, traversing lakes, travelling bumpy roads and shooting from helicopters led to a beautiful collection of stills and video content. The final artworks as due to be released later this year.

Penguin releases GO GIRL by Barbara Else, a collection of true stories about New Zealand women who have done extraordinary things. Among the women who blazed a trail for others to follow are Merata Mita, Neroli Fairhill, Lorde and Kate Edger. One of New Zealand’s best-known illustrators Rebecca ter Borg created gorgeous portraits to accompany their stories.
